Frquently Asked Questions
- How long will it take to tint my car?
Depending on the type of car, on average for a sedan we will only need your vehicle for 1-2 hours. Unless we are removing an old film we may need your vehicle for the whole day. - How long before the film will be dry?
We recommend you leave your windows wound up for the first 48 hours. After that there is a drying process, which can take up to 2 weeks before the film is completely dry. - Is the film applied to the inside or outside of the vehicle?
All film is applied to the inside of the vehicle. - What is the darkest legal tint available?
In most Australian states the darkest legal film that can be applied to a vehicle is 35%. Which means 35% of natural light must be able to pass through the tinted glass. - Will the film go all the way to the edge of the window?
Yes, custom fitting is a standard procedure when tinting a vehicle. - Do you offer a mobile service?
No we do not offer a mobile service as we need a completely dust free environment, which is away from the elements such as wind and we also require bright lighting. So with these factors in mind we only do our work in our specially designed workshop in which we can guarantee our work. - Someone else has quoted me a lot cheaper for a lifetime warranty film. Why is that?
Unless you have considerable knowledge about window films, the average person will not be able to tell the difference. Therefore it comes down to trust. There are a number of small businesses offering LIFETIME WARRANTY with their films however you will not be able to tell if it is a quality film. A warranty is only as good as the company who offers it, in our case Solartint is a well established company which has been operating for over 30 years with branches all around Australia.
